The Unique UNIPORT students are currently stunning the school streets over the high cost of tuition fees. The students shutdown all academic activities in the University of Port Harcourt.All entry and exit points in the institution have been placed under lock and key, leaving the management staffand students stranded.The protest was

said to have started around 5a.m, Monday morning.The students are led by the leadership of the student union Government{SUG}and have barricaded all access roads leading to the institution, including the major East-West road and the Choba-Uniport road.The students are protesting because School management gave a deadline for payment of fees and anyone that didn't pay will be deregistered and loses this session only to repeat it in next session first semester exams starts today sug said no.it can't work. and school fees portal was closed yesterday...so,6am today the protest started and i heard that the glasses in senate building was shattered.and students have exams this morning..Some say the riot may continue tomorrow if the VC of the school does not act quick.
