MARY KATRANTZOU was announced as the winner of the fifth BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Prize last night, at a cocktail party hosted by Vogue's Alexandra Shulman and British Fashion Council chairman Natalie Massenet at London's Café Royal Hotel. See more pics after d cut.....

The nominees - Emilia Wickstead, Holly Fulton, Michael van der Ham and Mother of Pearl's Amy Powney, Osman Yousefzada  and Sophia Webster  - were all in attendance to hear the night's big announcement, which was made during the evening by Shulman.

In sporting spirit, Peter Pilotto, Christopher de Vos and Nicholas Kirkwood - all previous winners of the prize - were out to offer support, while the room was full with guests sporting designs by the six nominated brands
